Pendant earrings “Aida” in yellow gold with turquoise pampilles
Brigitte Adolph discovered the floral top motifs of the Aida line during a visit to Germany’s lace city Plauen. When the plug and the free-swinging flower motif below were finished in high-quality yellow gold, the designer opted for colour-intensive pampilles made of precious turquoise. Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones in the history of mankind and was already appreciated by the ancient Egyptians. This is how the earrings found their name, because the opera Aida is set in Egypt during the time of the Pharaohs. Like the Ethiopian princess Aida, modern princesses shine with these special pieces of jewellery. The overall length is 7,4 cm.
